MORE ABOUT THE SIERRA MIXE

NACION MIXE OAXACA

The Mixe region is located northeast of the City of Oaxaca and is home to a great diversity of ecosystems such as magical cloud forests, as well as beautiful rivers, streams, waterfalls and wonderful trails.

We also have a privileged gastronomy, made with healthy ingredients.

The inhabitants of the Sierra Mixe are known as "The Never Conquered" because of the resistance that our ancestors opposed to aztec, zapotec and spanish invasions.

This allowed us to preserve our identity, our language, ancient traditions and forms of organization that we proudly present to the visitors.
